Pickleball Camp for Kids: Sport, Fun & New Skills

During the autumn holidays, we hosted a pickleball camp that combined sport, creativity, and a warm family atmosphere. Over the course of two days, the children trained intensively, learned the basics of the game, rules, and simple tactics. The camp culminated in a Family Tournament — one of the most beautiful highlights of the entire event.

Children aged 9–15, under the guidance of Pickleball Olomouc instructors, made tremendous progress in just a few days. In the final tournament, they were already independently teaching parents and friends how to play pickleball — with enthusiasm, patience, and big smiles.

The children were also involved in organizing the event itself: they created the tournament name, designed beautiful logos, and prepared tournament T-shirts for all participants. Thanks to this, they felt like true co-organizers, not just players.

The tournament featured 16 players, and approximately 30 people attended overall — coming to cheer, support the children, or try pickleball themselves. The event naturally strengthened community connections, encouraged intergenerational cooperation, and brought joy from time spent together.

A big thank you goes to all the children, parents, and instructors for the wonderful atmosphere, to the Ščedryk community for their cooperation, trust, and belief in our sport, and to Akademik Sport Center for providing professional facilities and equipment.
